Strawberry Cake

This strawberry cake’s sweetness level depends on the strawberries that you use to make it. πŸ“ So it is a perfect dessert for those who don’t like their cakes too sweet. However, if you like your desserts sweeter you can always add some maple syrup on top of this cake! πŸ˜‹

  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ΒΎ cup milk
  • Β½ cup oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • salt
  • Preheat the oven to 190ΒΊC (375ΒΊF)
  • Beat together 2 eggs and 1 cup sugar
  • Add ΒΎ cup milk, Β½ cup oil and 1 tsp vanilla extract and mix well
  • In a separate bowl mix well 2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder and a pinch of salt
  • Start adding the flour mixture to the wet mixture little by little until well mixed
  • In a baking pan lined with baking paper pour half of it, add a layer of strawberries (most of them, but leave some for the top of the cake) and then pour the second half if the mixture over them
  • Bake for around 50 minutes
